Stella Blues has morphed over the years from a unique, small funky cafe toward a more polished restaurant.

Stella Blues is a Grateful Dead themed restaurant, and they pull that off in a classy way that won't turn-off your grandma. Framed photographs, artwork and memorabilia adorn the walls - and if there is a Deadhead on your vacation gift list, a tie-dye "Stella Blues Cafe" T-shirt from Maui is a guaranteed winner.

They offer regular live music - which, although we have some spectacular musicians, can be quite difficult to find paired with decent ambiance in Maui. Stella Blues offers a very popular "Supper Club" which melds a delicious meal with live entertainment. These usually sell out, so plan ahead. (You can check their Facebook page for current info.)

With all the improvements and growth with their entrees in recent years, I must say that I still think breakfast is their strongest offering, and if you're staying in South Maui, sample breakfast on one of your first mornings, you may find yourself here again (and again!)

Description:
Expanding on the great food and success at the 808 Deli, when the Greek Bistro next door closed their doors, the 808 guys saw an opportunity.

This place is every bit as spectacular and affordable as the 808 Deli, and is contending for a #1 rating from us as well.

Description:
If you only have a limited number of expensive meals in your vacation budget, as perfect as they cook a steak, I just think I'd be pointing you in the wrong direction sending you somewhere you could probably eat back home.

That said, this location is true to the mainland model with spectacularly great service and absolutely delicious food.

I remember way back when, Stella Blues Cafe used to be in this location; I absolutely loved Stella Blues back then, and was sad to lose them as a cafe when they grew into a full-grown restaurant and moved across the street.

Well, maybe it is just me, but Big Wave (in the old Stella Blues location) doesn't look or feel a heck of a lot different to me than than back then. And that is a good thing! Same layout, same indoor or outdoor seating. And same satisfying feeling leaving with my belly packed!

I have to admit that I've only had breakfasts here - other reviewers rave about the dinner entrees as well - check the links to loads of user reviews below.

Diner's reviewing Joe's online seem to love it, or be disappointed. Few reviews fall in the middle. In my opinion, this is a decent solid restaurant, and I think the complaints stem from Joe's being oversold by association with Maui celebrity-chef Bev Gannon. This just isn't the same as what you get at Bev's flagship restaurant, the Hali'imaile General Store. (It also doesn't help Joe's that Hali'imaile, located off the beaten path in an old plantation town is, all things considered, a pretty strong value for the quality.)

Joe's is casual comfort-food joint sitting atop a tennis clubhouse which sits inside the most exclusive and expensive resort area in Hawaii. Give up the idea of value shopping in Wailea, and I think most folks will like Joe's.

Joe's is simple, but satisfying food, with a great view and solid service staff. I vote Eat At Joe's.

It is what it is, and what it is is a sportsbar and restaurant. Specials every day, and significant generous coupons in the advertizenes you get from those racks all over the island. They also have $3 drinks at happy hour.

If you're looking to get some beers in you, maybe watch a game, and stuff your face with big portions of nachos and burgers, Moose is a great option. They also have outdoor seating with an ocean view so you can trick the honey into going to watch the game.
