Sorry for the delay in responding…we have been super busy this summer with our SwellWomen retreats and have just finished up our year.
Maui Surfer Girls is definitely the way to go! They provide surf lessons for male and female, all ages.

Was waiting for Me-Shell, since she is the expert, but Maui Surfer Girls does men too – also there are some others listed in the article. I;d definitely go with someone Me-Shell recommended in the article – she knows what she is talking about

Hello Me-Shell,

Thanks for the article. First time in Hawaii and this longtime skateboarder / snowboarder is finally about to give surfing a try. The Ritz Carlton recommended I try Island Style on Kaanapali Beach, but I noticed you didn’t mention them. They are the closest to Kapalua, but I wouldn’t mind driving further away if it meant a noticeable step up in the experience. Here until 9/2, but ready tomorow 8/24.

What do you think?

hi hope you can help me out i live on o’ahu-so i’m looking for surf shop that sells (maui-built Slow Down-This ain’t the mainland) bumper stickers.i’m told they only sell them on maui…is there a shop call tropic’s or with tropic in title-i have vintage car top speed 50 mph need on back bumper…thanks M
