Island Surf 407 is a cute & clean 600+ sqft unit that has been recently remodeled, and is tastefully decorated, open, bright and airy. Great views and plenty of glass to bring the views in to the living areas.
Simply stated, the unit clearly stands out as exceptional. The owners are extremely proud of their unit – and that is refreshingly apparent to anyone staying here.
Owners, and their motivation for owning, are quite frequently the keys to discovering an exceptional vacation rental – the kind that you want to visit again and again. The units that always stand at the head of the pack are those with owners who have put their love and passion for Maui in to their island escape – you just can’t duplicate these nuances in a property that is purely a business. Island Surf 407 stands as a model in virtually every respect.
Patty and Keith (owners) come and visit throughout the year – this is truly their island escape – and they are genuinely dedicated to delivering guests the very same exceptional experience they give themselves. Attention to all the details (High quality beds, bedding and towels are just the start), meticulous maintenance, exceptional detail-oriented cleaning, and ample stocking of all the big and little things you might need.
Located on the main beach road on Kihei, South Kihei Road, the condo is tastefully remodeled and includes details very rarely found in rentals in this price range.
Items like beach chairs, coolers and accessories are all included.
The location of the Island Surf building is central, with loads of restaurants, bars, a couple of markets, entertainment, shopping, beaches, skating, surfing and snorkeling all in close proximity.
Cove Park along with its surf school are right across the street. A short walk from Kamaole Beach Park in one direction and Kalama Park in the other, a lot of activities are steps form your door. Kalama Park has a skatepark and a free outdoor roller rink right next to the ocean ($5 skate rental.) Kalama Park also has a playground, tennis courts, BBQ grills, volleyball and more. There are bicycle rentals (and other shops) on the first floor of the building.
Cove Park across the street is the de-facto place to learn to surf in Kihei. The most regular small surf break in South Maui means there are surf-schools here virtually every day of the year. Next door they rent surfboards, kayaks and paddle boards. Charley Young Beach is a 5 minute walk. Kamaole One, Two and Three within several blocks of each other. Dozens of the worlds best beaches in Kihei, Wailea and Makena are nearby.
The Kamaoles are the most popular beaches in Kihei for a reason. The closest is the Charlie Young Beach side of Kam I – one of the prettiest spots on all three Kamaoles. You can walk along the shoreline all the way down to Kamaole II & III. All three of these beaches have lifeguards, and are great for swiming, booige boarding, or just doing nothing but lazing on the soft sand all day!
Five world-class golf courses within minutes to choose from.
What a find – the owners have a pride in ownership that often only comes from owners who are using the condo as their own Maui oasis. Also worth noting is the value in this price range considering the high quality, views and proximity of the ocean, shops and activities.
