We refer to “beach of convenience” throughout MauiGuidebook.com – basically these are beaches that people might drive hundreds of miles to visit if they were back home, but since we’re so incredibly spoiled with an abundance of five-star beaches, we’re not going to point you to a 4-star beach unless there’s a good reason!

If you’re driving across the island to visit it, I’ll typically suggest the 5-star a half mile down the road – but if your condo is sitting on a 4-star, I’ll suggest that you call it your own personal beach of convenience!
