Getting to Nemo Falls requires a fairly easy ~1/3 mile hike through the Ko’olau Forest Reserve along a 4WD ditch access road, then crossing a narrow utility footbridge (read: potentially unsafe to the untrained, and also probably EMI property), followed by a moderately difficult scramble a few hundred yards upstream, across slippery rocks with poor footing.
Also, if the streamflow is high it will become unsafe to scramble up the bed to access the waterfall and pool. As with all streams, flash flooding is always something to watch out for, and due to the terrain here, escaping a flash flood once at the pool would be virtually impossible. If you do not posses a strong understanding of Maui flash flood safety, you should not attempt this waterfall.
