Summary:
Warmly welcoming, exquisitely remodeled, furnished and tastefully decorated. Fully equipped kitchen, super comfy King bed with premium resort-quality linens.
We specialize in sharing rentals that are exceptional – and boy have these owners delivered! The attention to detail rivals what you normally expect only at the highest price points.
At checkin you will find that the luxuriously fitted tropical king bed is bedecked with a fresh, fragrant flower lei beckoning to be set around your neck – just one of many “welcome to Maui!” moments awaiting you at this gem in Kaanapali.
You’ll also be welcomed with a personal note and a generously overflowing gift basket with thoughtful Maui-style snacks, a bottle of chardonnay and coconut water. A little later you’ll discover another gift, the owner has left you new tropical sarong to wear now and also to take back home with you to remind you of your special escape.
You will continue to be rewarded throughout your stay, finding deep care has been given to anticipate needs you probably hadn’t even thought of. From snorkel and beach gear to plenty of spare linens, the thoughtfulness doesn’t seem to end. Even when you get down to the more utilitarian aspects of your stay, the little (and some not so little) things that the guests staying in most rentals (including those right next door) might have to make runs out to shops to grab, are already here.
Items you might expect, like soap and shampoo are certainly included – but even non-standard items like zip-lock bags, foil and paper napkins are stocked and replenished for your arrival. (If cloth napkins are more your style, you’ll find those to set the stunning wood table with as well!)
Everywhere you turn, these “little things” add up to one really big thing – the perfect vacation rental! And there is so much more I haven’t listed; you truly would be pressed to do this well without staying at one of the very best hotels on island (and there you would be nickel and dimed to death for each and every extra!)
This privately-owned unit is an exceptional value compared to what Aston Resorts rents less-than-comparable rooms for in these same buildings. Your resort fee also gives to the same access to Aston facilities – you get the best of both worlds.
Two drawers in the vanity are full of extra bath and beach towels, and they provide an extra set of sheets, extra pillows, comforter, bath mats too. Shampoo and soap are provided in the shower.
Beach towels, boogie boards, masks, snorkels, beach chairs and a beach umbrella are also provided by the owners in the unit.
Location
This location is near and dear to my heart. We spent many years bringing our children and visitors to Kahekili Beach Park adjacent to the property – the beach here is one of the best snorkeling spots on Maui and is also wonderfully uncrowded. While it is out of the crowded hustle and bustle of Kaanapali central, it is a fast and free trolley-style shuttle or car ride to the other side of Black Rock if you’d like to stroll through the shops and restaurants or spend a day at Ka’anapali Beach.
The complex is 260 units spread over 5 buildings on 11 acres. This unit is in one of the small garden-style two-story buildings (Coconut building.) Coconut is the most private as it is removed from the foot traffic of the other four buildings. Unit 162 is just 20 steps from your lanai to the pool – there are two pools on the property, and this one is this away from restaurant and bar so it is much less crowded.
Maui Kaanapali Villas is a very short drive from Lahaina Town, the historic capital of the Kingdom of Hawaii.
The Lahaina/Kaanapali area is the most visited spot on Maui – and for good reason! Tons of things to do; Kaanapali is Maui’s original premiere resort location – this is literally where Maui tourism began. Close by Lahaina also boasts the only full-featured, walkable down-town you’ll find on our island. A historic charm and uniqueness not duplicated anywhere else.
Due to it’s central West Maui resort location, Maui Kaanapali Villas is also within very easy reach of multiple world-class beaches, resorts, spas, fun activities and golf courses.
Beaches
The property sits on Kahekili Beach, a long, less crowded sandy beach, adjacent to Ka’anapali Beach, with the back of Black Rock at the southern end separating them. Kahekili Beach is less developed and less crowded and has lots of easily accessible reef uniquely convenient to snorkel literally right off the shoreline.
There are also many other incredible West Maui’s best beaches just a short drive away:
